Top Places To Use Your Headshot Online | Clarksburg, MD Headshot Photography

LinkedIn Headshots

The first place I suggest putting your new headshots is on your LinkedIn profile page. LinkedIn is a fast-growing community of corporate and small business professionals. This is a community where we can connect with potential employers, employees, and clients for our own businesses.

Profiles without pictures get considerably less traffic than profiles with pictures. Of the profiles that do have pictures, the ones that have professional headshots get nine times more traffic and 21 percent more connection requests than those without.  So, if your LinkedIn profile has a little grey coat hanger and not a professional headshot, let's get you in here and rocking a solid LinkedIn profile.

Dating Sites

Secondly, if you have a profile on a dating site, you definitely want to be showing yourself and your personality in the best possible way.

We tend to want to work with and connect with people we find likable and trustworthy. These are things that come from your expression, and professional photographers like myself can work with you in the studio to bring these expressions out naturally.

The problem with the iPhone selfie is that the wide-angle lenses can distort your face and make you look unnatural. Gorgeous lighting that flatters all your best features is not always available the second you need it. In my studio, I have complete control over my lighting and the know-how on how to use it to bring out your natural beauty.

Email Signature

Another great way to use your new headshots is in your email signature. This is a great place to show your face.

When you're reaching out to new people, making connections, or answering inquiries, the people that will see your email will now already know what you look like and will have formed a first impression about you and what kind of person they expect to see when they finally meet you.

Having a professional photographer that specializes in expression coaching is going to be a major help here. We make it our goal to show people the real you, your genuine personality, when they see your headshot. So, there should be no surprise when they meet you in person.

Brochures, Print Marketing, and Business Cards

These are great places to use your headshots. The people that you hand your materials out to, won't be likely to forget who you are. Having your image on these points of contact keeps you fresh in the minds of the people you just connected with.

For these materials, I suggest going with tight headshots, maybe 3/4 for larger brochures. If you go full body on these types of cards, you're going to end up being tiny, and nobody is going to remember your face.

So, these are just a few of my top places to use your headshots online. There are tons of more places that we can add to this listf for sure. Be sure to discuss with your photographer how you want to use your headshots whether it's in print marketing or online profiles or sites. It's nice to have a variety of images with different expressions to use for your brand. Not every headshot is perfect for your profile pic. We can have a quick consultation to find out how and where you want to use images for your branding then come up with a game plan to make sure you leave the studio with exactly what you need.
