200 Photographers. 10,000 Headshots. 1 Day​

Covid-19 has left a lot of people in some really stressful situations. People have been  laid off, on furlough or if they're lucky, had their hours reduced. Many businesses both small and large have been struggling, many have closed their doors and may never open them again. To help ease the pain, me and 199 other photographers in every state in the country donated 10,000 headshots to the unemployed to help get them back on their feet. 

A professional headshot is a critical element when looking for a new job and, according to LinkedIn, people who include headshots receive 21 times more profile views and 9 times more connection requests. Along with a professional headshot my hope was each participant left the session with a greater sense of self confidence and purpose, knowing they are making an investment in themselves and in their future.  Our participants could go to www.headshotbooker.com and schedule their 10 minute slot in a location close to them.

 The event was in partnership with Brookfield properties who were kind enough to let us shoot in vacant retail spaces in their shopping centers around the country. I was paired with 2 other photographers at our location in the Mall in Columbia. We had a wonderful time meeting some very interesting people and hopefully helping to give them a leg up as they seek new employment.
