How can I get cheap professional headshots near me? Not a question I like to get as a headshot photographer.

Today, everyone with an iPhone or a DSLR they bought at BestBuy, slapped in auto mode, calls themselves a photographer.  You can get cheap headshots just about anywhere.

The Good and the Bad of Headshot Photography Pricing

Headshot fees in my area are all over the map. There are some that offer an hour session, including all the images, and only charge you $100. Be careful — you get what you pay for.

There are others that charge $400 for the session and then charge you $125 per retouched image. You can literally pay as little or as much for these as you want. But you get what you pay for, so do your research, read reviews, and choose someone who has killer images that fit your budget.

Why You Shouldn’t Cheap Out on Your Headshots

Your headshot is the cornerstone of your brand. It does the heavy lifting for you while you're out networking, signing contracts, and making money. You should not skimp on the quality of the headshot that you are going to use to represent you and your brand.

In my studio space, being a photographer is only 1/3 of my job with my clients. The other 2/3's are being an expression coach and psychiatrist. Not in the sense that you come here to talk about problems. Rather, I get to use my skills to help give you a healthy bump in your self-confidence.  These skills, along with everything I've learned about lighting, pose, directing, editing, retouching, and delivering images, have taken me a good amount of time to learn and master so your experience can be super smooth. 

So, to keep this super short, if you want cheap headshots, you can ask friends to take them or look for the cheapest option on Google. If you want to have quality headshots that are going to help level up your LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook profiles, you should look for a professional who specializes in headshots. You don't need to take out a second mortgage. Keep it within your budget, but budget for professional headshots.
